The environment is the place where we can find both living things and non-living things and whereas the population means the total number of people living in the particular place in a particular area . Both the population and the environment are related to each other. Nowadays the population is increasing rapidly. Due to population growth, we all arefacingdifferent types of problems. In our country, Nepal, the population growing rapidly. So, due to the growing population, the government are running different types of programmes to control the population growth. There are the different measures which should be followed for population management in the Nepal. They are described below:
What is migration?
The movement of people from one place to another place that may be inside the country or that may be country to country is known as migration.
What do you mean by contraceptives?
Contraceptives are those devices which are used to prevent pregnancy by interfering with the normal process of ovulation, fertilization, and implantation.
What do you mean by poultry farming?
Poultry farming is the process of raising of domesticated birds such as chickens, turkeys, ducks etc.
Career refers to an occupation undertaken for a significant period of a person's life and with opportunities for progress.
How do the means of family planning help to manage population?
As we know that family planning is the process of spacing or stopping birth. Family planning mainly focuses on stopping the unwanted birth. It helps to meet the goals of small family size and leads to the happiness and prosperity in the family. It helps to stop the unnecessary population growth rate and plays an effective role for population management.
How does early marriage contribute to population growth? What should be done to control the early marriage?
Firstly, early marriage is the marriage which is done before the age of 18 years. In the other hand, early marriage is also the social problem. The marriage before the age of 18 is harmful to health on the one hand and one the other hand it increases the birth rate. When one marriage at the age of before 18 she gives birth at least four children but if one marriage at the age of 25 she gives a birth to two children. To control the early marriage, first fall peoples should take the legal action for this and awareness programme should be conducted about good and bad consequences of early marriage.
Why is women education and employment important for population management?
Women education refers to the process of educating women providing formal education and non-formal education. Women education helps women to provide the good knowledge about the merits and demerits of large population size. They will have the good knowledge of contraceptives as well as methods of family planning. In the same way, employment helps to make people busy and they will not get enough time to be engaged with each other which can help in population management.
How extension of health service helps in population management?
As we know that, health service in the rural areas of Nepal is very low. Because of this Infant mortality rate is high in Nepal. Due to lack of health service many mothers die during the time of delivery.If the health service can be extended in rural areas this problem can be solved and can help in population management.
Is it necessary to give equal behaviour to sons and daughters for the population management? Give reason.
Yes, it is very much important to give equal behaviour to the son and daughter. We can see a lot of discrimination between son and daughter in our Nepalese society. We have seen a lots of examples that in the hope of getting sons, many children are ultimately born and the population is increased. So, gender discrimination should be ended which can help in population management.
