Wildcrafting in the Adirondacks: Spikenard

Traveling through the Adirondack Mountains on a wildcrafting expedition collecting medicinal plants, we visited Kate Gilday & Don Babineau of Woodland Essence. They led us to a road bordered by Spikenard (Aralia racemosa), where we demonstrate conscientious, ecologically friendly wildcrafting skills. Spikenard is a native plant in the ginseng family, and its root medicine is known for its female reproductive toning and enlivening properties.
