Health, Population and Environment Education is important to provide them safe and clean environment.The scopes of health education are various places, organization and subjects through which health education can be acquired. Population education is related with every aspect and activity of human beings. Environment education aims to develop a healthy environment by the conservation and management of environment.
In the beginning, the scope of health education was limited to families, schools and communities, but today its scope is considerably widened.

The scope of health education is not just limited with to home and community and it is also not complete in itself. In its educational process, health education borrows items forms various other social sciences, e.g. psychology, sociology, education, home science, bio- chemistry, economics, etc.
Perception in learning, motivation and learning process, role of reward and punishment, etc. are related to psychology. Taboos, values, beliefs, norms, values, customs, group dynamics, etc. are related to sociology. Size of family, birth gap, reproduction, sex hygiene, etc. fall under the population education. In the same way Medicine, Anthropology, Biology, home science, Environment education, Physical education are also involved directly or indirectly in the health education. So, the scope of health education also denotes its relationships with other social science or fields of study and the various occupational areas where health education.
Health of a person is a dynamic condition and it differs from person to person. However the basic characteristics of healthy person are given below:
Community includes mass-meeting, ceremony, guthi, industries and factories, clubs, institutions, hospital offices etc., as community people are not properly getting locally available health services due to lack of knowledge or illiteracy. Therefore, we can give education about health to community through meetings, posting articles on various locations, talking about health in the radios and television. We can also run various health activities in our community. We may also run free health checkup and provide free medicines for old ages people.
School is a place which provides the health experiences formally and informally. The five health experiences which can be obtained from school are given below:
The definition of health given by WHO is "Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well being and not merely the absence of diseases or infirmities." This definition elucidate that a healthy person must be physically fit, mentally alert and social adaptable. However, this definition has gone through many sorts of criticism for being too board. Some people contradict that health can't only defined as a state, but it must be seen as a dynamic process. They further claim the definitions of WHO to be an idealistic one which rarely exists in the real world.
We should be conscious and alert to our health. Some people are unknown to basic knowledge or unknowingly adopt unhygienic behavior. Such behavior cannot be improved without changing their views with adequate proper guidance. Large numbers of people die of communicable diseases like cholera, diarrhea, typhoid, tuberculosis, pneumonia etc. These diseases are fatal in nature. Majority if the death is of under 5 years in children. The diseases cannot surer us, if we are conscious. But we are inviting such diseases because of our ignorance, superstitious tradition and culture. It is scientifically proved that the diseases are not caused by the curse of the God and Goddess and they are curable with timely treatment. Health education teaches us safely as well as preventive measures.
In this way health education helps to prevent fatal diseases.
Health education is a process which enables the individuals and group of individual to realize their health needs and match them to necessary health behaviors with the change in knowledge, attitude and behavior of people. In this most useful form, it is concentrated on the development of such practices as believed to attain the best possible state of well being. In other words, health education is the translation of what is known about health in to desirable individual and community behavior pattern by means of an educational process. Therefore, it is concerned with the change in knowledge, attitude and behavior of people in order to attain good health.
Scope of health education can be understood as the areas included in health education.
Health education has a great scope in population and environment education i.e. health education deals with both population and environment. Health education is directly related with birth spacing, safe motherhood age at conception, delayed marriage and other population related phenomena. Thus, if the above points are not carefully studied and applied then there may arise great problem in one's health and affects the population.
Environment degradations are water pollution, air pollution, land pollution etc. If any individual has achieved good health education then he degrade environment because he is aware of the adverse affect of the environmental degradation on human health.
