Feminist criticism

Feminist criticism is a way to look through a feminist perspective. It is critically observed the operating patriarchal ideology in all sectors of social life such as in art, literature, film, social discourses etc. The patriarchal ideology is the male based ideology which undermines the female capacity. They take female as a second sex. Gender is a social construction according to the biological and anatomical differences between male and female, society creates discourse about them such as masculinity and feminist. Patriarchy is the most powerful situation of society that has dominated every part of our life and the way of escaping from it is known as getting beyond patriarchy.

Feminist premises

French feminism is a movement by a set of French feminist thinker Julia Kristeva, Luce Irigaray, Simone de Beauvoir and Helene Cixous who reshaped the feminist thought by adding a philosophical focus to feminist theory. It believes in the importance of social and political activism to ensure equal opportunity and equal access to justice for a woman. Similarly, multicultural feminism can be defined as a blend or inclusion of feminism of various cultures. The basic concern of gender studies is to study the cultural artifact about man and woman. Through literature of feminism, it analyzes the importance of woman in society.
