Socrates suggests that perhaps the nature of women’s and men’s differences rather than the fact of difference itself is the key. This difference is that the female conceives and begets. Socrates says that we should not allow that goes anyway to prove that a woman differs from a man with reference to the subject of dialogue-‘The role of women in ideal society’. The guardian class people are appointed their works accordingly on the basis of natural bases. Man is supposed to be stronger and women to be weaker, therefore man works outside any time of the day or night and woman works inside the home. Regarding to the work division Socrates’ ideas are some conventional and some modern. Woman inside works are conventional but security works, gymnastic and artistic works, music etc are modern ones. By educational and training, she can be made equal to man.
