Major Religions and Festivals in Nepal and their Sociological and Anthropological implication
Religion is a belief which teaches human beings positive attributes that should develop means for social welfare. There are different religions which are based on natural and superhuman power. All of them possess concept of sacredness. They follow prayer, worship, and meditation. They have faith in the unseen force and fate. There are, mainly some major religion such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam and Kirata Dharma. All of them have different sects and their religious book through which they follow their own code of conduct. Similarly in Nepal there are major religions such as dashain, tihar, lhosar and Chhat festivals. They have their own religious and cultural significance.
