Citizen's Responsibilities Towards Child Rights

Children are the future builders of the nation. So, they should be taken special care from the beginning so that they can be a part of the country's progress in the future. But children in our country die due to lack of hygiene, malnutrition and diseases. The rules of the personal hygiene should be taught to the children. Some hygiene rules like washing hands, properly using the toilet, eating good foods should be taught both by the parents and the teachers. Mother's milk during birth is compulsory and they should be given proper nutrition according to their age. Vaccine like polio vaccine should be given in their early age so they can grow their immunity.

The government has done some considerable jobs for the children. Child rights have been guaranteed and punishment against its violation is also given. Child Rights Acts 2048, Child Labor Prohibition and Regulation Act 2056 are some of them. The Interim Constitution has made child rights a part of fundamental rights. According to it every child has the right to education, nutrition, proper love and care, social security and basic health. Orphans, disabled have been taken special care and child workers have been rescued in huge number.
