19th Magh, 2014 B.S first general election declared in Nepal. The first general election was held on 7th Falgun, 2015.
36 members were selected in the upper house in 1st general election on 2015. 109 members were selected in the lower house in 1st general election on 2015.
109 polling stations polling stations were there in 2015 election. The minimum age limit to drop the vote in 2015 election was 21 years.

The general election of 2056 B.S was held in 20th Baisakh 2056 and 3rd Jestha 2056 B.S. The general election of 2056 B.S was held 2 stages. 142 women candidates participated in 2056 election.
The general election for the constitution Assembly was held on 10th April 2008 (28 Chaitra, 2065 BS).The main work of Constitution Assembly was To draft a new constitution.
60% of the seat was allocated by the proportional system. 40% of the seat was allocated by direct election system. 335 members were elected through proportional representation system. 240 members were elected through the election in CA. 135000 troops were deployed to provide security for the election.
20000 polling stations were there for the election. Sunil Babu Panta was the first openly gay candidate elected in Nepal. The first session of CA was held in8th May 2008. 15 Days were given to Gyanendra to leave Narayanhity palace by constituent Assembly. The second round of presidential vote held on constituent Assembly was on 21st July 2008. Dr. Ram Baran Yadav became the first president of Nepal. Travel and deal of alcohol were banned during the election. 33 polling station voting was called off.
