Overview

Snake bite is serious problem. If the snake is poisonous it may lead the victim to death. This note provide us the information about snake bite, its symptoms and its first aid.

Snake bite is serious problem. First Aid should be provided immediately after the snake bite whether the snake is poisonous or not. If the snake is poisonous it may lead the victim to death. But if the victim is not poisonous then we can see the marks of small teeth.

Symptoms of Snake bite

  • Mark of teeth can be observed at that part where snake bites.
  • There will be pain and swelling at that place.
  • First symptom ofpoisoning is unable to extend the upper lid of eye completely.
  • Victim will be weak. He/she feels difficulty in breathing.
  • Salivation can be seen in victims mouth.
  • Due to weakness of muscles, the victim will feel difficulty in moving.

First Aid to snake bite

  • Leave the patient in rest.
  • Use tourniquet to stop spreading poison above the bitten area.
  • Clean the bitten area with water-soap properly.
  • Use ice pack compression to cool down the bitten area.
  • If the patient is conscious, then lot of water should be given to the victim.
  • Patient should be taken to the hospital immediately.

Things to remember
  • First Aid should be provided immediately after the snake bite whether the snake is poisonous or not.
  • If the victim is not poisonous then we can see the marks of small teeth.
  • It includes every relationship which established among the people.
  • There can be more than one community in a society. Community smaller than society.
  • It is a network of social relationships which cannot see or touched.

Some snake-bites are normal and some are complex and dangerous. First aid is necessary in both cases. The snakes having well developed fangs along with poison sac are more harmful in comparison to other.
The symptoms of poisonous snake bite are:
  • Color of the skin of the casualty is changed.
  • The casualty may feel nausea. Sometimes vomiting and diarrhea can be observed.
  • Mark of the fangs can be observed at the region where snake bites weakness occurs.
  • There is pain and swelling in the area of snake bite.
  • Dimness in vision is observed after some hours.
  • Blood is seen in urine, sputum and vomits.
A person generally feels altitude problem or sickness when he/she goes above 3000 meters above.
