We cannot maintain the quality of life if the size of family is large. The needs, desires and wants of family members cannot be fulfilled. It helps to enhance awareness along the people to make ration and responsible decision about population related processes, behaviors and problems. As population growth rate is increasing at the alarming rate, it has also emerged many complex problems in both developed and developing countries. More over the demands of various human needs like food, clothing, housing, education, health, employment etc. is increasing with the ratio of population increase. If the population increase goes on, there will be shortage of those basic human needs. As a result, various problems like unemployment, famine, insecurity etc. are emerging.
Population education plays vital role to change the attitude and behavior of people. It supports to develop the ability to take relevant decision bringing the changes in traditional baseless concepts related to population. It also makes us conscious about contribution of each individual to the country maintaining the family life happy and prosperous. Continuous growth of population has serious obstacle to socio-economic and environmental aspects of our life. Positive knowledge of population education plays a significant role to bring about a change in people's attitude and behavior towards population.

Health and population are directly related to each other. So, any change in one aspect the other also has to face some effect. Therefore the growth of population has following effects:

  • Over-crowed in the health services due to which proper treatment is not possible.
