Subject: Compulsory Maths

A real number is a value that represents a quantity along a continuous line and defines the real number system geometrically. The real number include all the rational numbers, such as the integer -5, and the fraction 4/3 and all the irrational numbers.The union of the set of rational numbers and the set of irrational numbers is called the set of real numbers.Thus, the collection of all points on the number line can be thought of as the system of real numbers.

The real number system evolved over time by expanding the notion of what we mean by the word 'Number'. At first "Number" meant something you count like how many cows a farmer owns.These are called number or sometimes the counting numbers.The union of the set of rational numbers and the set of irrational numbers is called the real numbers. The set of real number is denoted by 'R'.

- The real number includes all the rational numbers. It also included within the irrational numbers.

- It includes every relationship which established among the people.
- There can be more than one community in a society. Community smaller than society.
- It is a network of social relationships which cannot see or touched.
- common interests and common objectives are not necessary for society.

Simplify:

(4×10^{5})(3×10^{6})

Soln: 4 ×3 ×10 ^{5+6}

^{}= 12×10^{11}

= 1.2 ×10^{1}× 10^{11}

=1.2 ×10^{11+1}

=1.2× 10^{12} Ans.

Simplify:

4.215×10^{-2}+3.2×10^{-2}

Solution: 4.215×10^{-2}+3.2×10^{-2}

=(4.215+3.2)×10^{-2}

= 7.415×10^{-2}
