Society is the common home for all residing under it, but same society is affected by different social evils. Discrimination among people is one of the major social evil prevalent in our society. Most of the person still are compelled to face the problem of inequality and are departed from the service and proper treatment from other people. Still, people have a misconception about being superior one and other being inferior one in accordance to that of the race, culture, religion, sex etc. Treating people are distinct from person to person on the basis of some religion, race, and sex. Many people are mistreated in the society and such people are lacking attention, care, and love like that of the other people.
Discrimination among the people on the basis of the above-mentioned factor is meant to be the untouchability. Untouchability is generalized by the caste system. According to the caste system, the group of people under Brahmin, Chhetri race is regarded as superior one and except these races, other are referred as low caste named to be “dalit”. Seemingly, in some of the societies, dalits are taken as untouchable where they are kept far from using the resources. Things they touch are not used in homes. They are deprived of using their social and economic rights. They are not permitted to take water from public taps along with other people of the society. Such people are restricted from carrying out the religious functioning too. They are not allowed to enter temples and to participate in any kind of social or religious discussion and activities. Moreover, in some houses, dalits are even not invited too. They are not taken to kitchens and all the works concerned with them are sorted out outside the home only. Foods prepared by them are not taken and food served by them are not eaten too.
People can be of different races, cultures, castes and religion. But being the human is their ultimate identification. Hence, everyone has an equal right to the social, economic and religious aspect. Every person has the right to be loved and to be cared. No one has the right to keep one deprived of human rights but despite this people are treated differently on the basis of caste. Some are respected and some are ignored only due to the misconception about man-made caste system which is meant to be social misconduct. Every person living within the society have right to live their own life as they desire. No one can question over the pattern of their living. Each person is the member of society and each of them is involved in different kinds of work in accordance with the level of their comfort. Daily needs are analyzed and the effort to meet the limitation for the fulfillment of such basic needs are made for which people are engaged in severe kinds of occupation. Some can be a doctor in our society. We need them for health assistance. In modern days, fashion has the vital role. Day by day we need to change ourselves according to time and fashion that our society adopts. Hence tailor and cobbler would be very important in our daily life to match up with that of the present time. None of the occupation is superior or inferior. Every work, in its place, is significant. Whatever would be the occupation, the common motive for each occupation is making the life of people easier to live. Hence the role of each occupation is equal and each occupation is equally important to run our society. Thus, we must eradicate this type of misconduct from our society and should treat everyone equally.
The ancient time period can be the perfect example for the togetherness of people where no people were mistreated. Ancient time has a significant role in the field of religious belief. Every person was taken as a pure soul and holy at birth. No discrimination was made on the basis of occupation. Every human was taken to be the part of the family and their all works were equally respected. No person was distinct and was not departed from any of the services to mankind. Everyone was regarded to be the innocent one. Hence, any person working for mankind through uplifting own standard above from own comfort zone was taken to be great and most respected one whereas, at the same time, person hindering societal functioning was said to be of evil nature, and unholy one. Due to the clear vision of referring every human as part of the same family, no means of discrimination was held in ancient time.
Society is needed to a person for living in a comfortable way within the helpful groups, to secure own right and existence. Society is well known for its good conduct in the field of norms and values essential for uplifting living standard but when issues of discrimination arise, it directly hinders the well-being and well conduct of the society becomes misconduct. Discrimination among the human in the name of caste is against humanity. Hence, in order to gather all under an equal sense of humanity, all must participate in forming a campaign against such misconduct for the purpose of eradicating it.
When a society or the community is common home for all, each and every person living under societal rules and regulations are the member of the society. Different types of people belonging to severe kinds of status, religion, and castes live in our society, where some are rich, some are poor, some are physically fit and some of them are disabled. It is very obvious that some are rich and some of them are poor due to own personal circumstances thus no means of discrimination are supposed to be held on the basis of status or class. There always has been some sort of existing scenario in the society where rich are respected, praised and are prioritized and, on the other hand, poor are neglected, biased and are ignored. It's not good to treat people differently. No one has right to dominate another. Therefore, we must abolish such misconduct from our society.
In the contradictory sense, society is rich in discrimination where different means of discrimination are held. Discrimination between children is also another misconduct in society. There is the tendency to discriminate male children and female children in our society. Discrimination between own children i.e. son and daughter is a gender discrimination. Both of the children should be hope and want of the family. Despite this, sons are prioritized most and distance with the daughter are maintained most. Women are discriminated in our society. Women are taken as weak and inferior one and men are treated as the head of the family. But women areneitherweak nor inferior. Both men and women are equally important to run the world. In some of the field, men can be fast and, in other field, women can be fast and knowledgeable. Therefore, for proper development of self and nation as a whole, both should be given equal opportunities. Any kind of discrimination between men and women or sons and daughters should be abolished.
Discriminating people by their caste, sex, religion and economic status is social misconduct. As per religious and spiritual belief, every person is a holy soul. God is present in heart of every individual regardless of their caste, religion, sex and economic status. The caste system is neither provided by nature nor by God, it's something made by human itself. All kinds of discrimination are the product of society itself. All kinds of discrimination hinders well being and they all are against humanity. We all must be prepared to give up all those misconduct. There’s tremendous power in togetherness . So if we all work with determination and true confidence, we surely can remove such discrimination and can make our society peaceful, prosperous and can live our life in happily.
