Upon completion of this lesson, student must be able to:

  • Define types of charges.
  • Differentiate positive and negative charges.
  • Differentiate conductors and insulators.
  • Express how electric circuit works.
  • List various sources of electricity.
  • Solve numerical related to household electrical configuration.

Charge is developed in nonmetals like plastic, wool, nylon, polyester, ebonite, etc. in insulating materials due to friction. Those are called static charge. A cell is a device where a potential difference between two conductors is maintained by a conversion of chemical energy into electrical energy. The note of electricity provides information about cells, charged particles, advantages and much more about electricity.

House Wiring System and Some Electrical Devices

Earthing is a system where excessive electricity is passed through it into the ground. The fuse is the special wire that melts when a certain amount of electricity flows through it. MCB is improved and extended version of the fuse. This note briefly explains about electricity, house wiring system and its uses.
